Maybe the
plush horse is stuffed with dollar bills?
I started this blog for a couple of reasons:
1. To learn how to blog
2. To comment on the rampant consumerism because I get so tired of seeing silly things selling for ridiculous prices.
3. To reiterate that you get what you pay for - whether it's web design, custom furniture, or knock-off jeans made by a 13 year old in China working for essentially slave wages. Some people think $75/hour is a lot for web design, but take 35% off the top for the government, subtract expenses (like computers, software, non-billable education time and sick days and holidays) and it's about what your average professional makes. And, contrary to what one customer said ("I could learn what you do in an afternoon if I wanted to"), designing a website to rank well is a professional endeavor that one doesn't learn in a few hours. If it were, I suspect I wouldn't still have him for a customer.
